Friday morning FYI –
SAVE AMERICAN WORKERS ACT: Earlier today (THURS., 3/3) by a vote of 248 to 179, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the SAVE AMERICAN WORKERS ACT. The bill would amend the definition of “FULL TIME EMPLOYEE” to an employee who works at least 40 hours per week. When Congress enacted the PPACA in 2010, FTE was defined as an employee who worked at least 30 hours a week for companies with 50 or more FT workers. If enacted into law, the revised definition would become effective Jan. 1, 2015.
